Nick qualified as a Chartered Accountant in a medium sized practice in London before joining one of the big four accountancy firms to work in the USA for 2 years. Shortly after his return to the UK he joined a family owned food business to strengthen their financial management. As Finance Director, he guided the business and its directors through business acquisitions, a management buyout and eventual sale to a large PLC.
Having cut his teeth on personal service in a people based business he left to set up, with Sue, their own family business. They used Quickbooks desktop accounting software to manage their business and so the relationship with Intuit began.
In 2016, seeing the opportunities and benefits of cloud-based software, Nick became a Quickbooks Online Advanced Certified Pro-Advisor. Nick’s passion to help people and his approachable manner led him to establish the Perspectives Chartered Accountants practice. As well as providing advice and support, Nick wanted to utilise cloud based technologies to help individuals and businesses. The aim was help them grow their business but also to regain some time previously spent on paperwork to concentrate on what is important to them.
Nick is a keen cricket and rugby fan and is a regular at Rodney Parade in Newport to watch the Dragons.

Sue Williams MBA FCCA MSWW

Sue is a qualified Chartered Certified Accountant and graduated with a Masters degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Wales. She is also a member of the Society of Will Writers.
Having been part of a start-up family business in 1987, Sue has extensive management and systems experience. The experience she gained while building the fledging business with her father to eventually selling the multi-million pound company gave Sue invaluable experience that helps her to understand and associate with the challenges our clients face daily. She is able to apply the knowledge and skills gained from these once-in-a-lifetime experiences to help our clients.
Sue is dedicated to guiding and helping our clients streamline their business processes and providing an empathetic approach to their business and accounting needs. Sue is a Quickbooks Online Advanced Certified Pro-Advisor, she is also Xero Advisor Certified and Xero Payroll Certified.

Joanna Jones
Trainee Accountant
Joanna is the newest member of our team, currently studying towards her AAT and prides herself on being thorough and responsive. She has always wanted to gain broad experience in an accounting firm that works with individuals, helping with their personal tax, and also working with businesses, so she gains an understanding of how business works, not just how the numbers balance.
She is a whizz with technology and is already a Quickbooks Online Advanced Certified Pro-Advisor. She works with clients mainly on their bookkeeping and payroll and she is looking to gain further experience in the practice as she progresses with her accountancy career. She hopes to become AAT qualified and then continue in her studies and training to become a Chartered Accountant.
Joanna particularly enjoys the variety of work she gets involved in. She brings further enthusiasm and passion for service to the team and is always smiling. She is a keen dog lover, enjoying walks through the beautiful Caerphilly countryside.

Team Mascots
We see many firms who include their dog as a team member or company mascot. We don’t want our dogs to be overlooked but with several we couldn’t just choose one.
All our wonderful dogs provide team support and daily exercise. They are a great excuse to leave the computer for an hour and take in the fresh air while walking them in the beautiful lush green rolling hills of Caerphilly.
